【题目】Dynamically Controlled NEMS Array and Precision on-chip Clock


【摘要】

We report on the development of dynamically controlled nanomechanical resonator arrays and their applications in topological phonon transport and precision timekeeping. Using high-stress silicon nitride doubly-clamped beams with electrostatic parametric coupling, we realize arrays with large site numbers, high quality factors (Q > 6×104), and in-situ tunable coupling strength spanning from zero to maximum values.

Building on this platform, we demonstrate two key applications. First, we implement non-adiabatic topological phonon transfer based on a dynamically modulated Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) model, achieving faster and more robust coherent transport compared to adiabatic schemes. Second, we develop a non-Hermitian nanomechanical clock by engineering parametric gain and loss in coupled resonators. Operating in the regime near the exceptional point, the clock achieves an Allan deviation of 0.56 ppb, approaching the performance of state-of-the-art commercial MEMS oscillators. These results establish dynamically controlled nanomechanical arrays as a versatile platform for topological phononics and chip-scale precision metrology.


【报告人简介】张亮,浙江大学量子精密测量研究院,“百人计划”研究员,博士生导师。本科毕业于南京大学物理学院凝聚态专业。博士2019年毕业于中国科学技术大学物理学院,随后于中国科学技术大学物理学院任博士后、特任副研究员,2023年8月入职浙江大学。主要研究方向包括(1)纳米机械振子人工晶格,实现拓扑物理、声子输运、相变模拟等应用;(2)自旋-机械混合量子系统,实现国际首个可扩展的片上暗物质量子探测器,用于暗物质新相互作用的微观检验。相关工作 10 余篇论文发表于 PNAS、PRL、Nat. Commun.、Nano Lett. 等期刊。
